How to better serve your customers: walk a mile in their workboots

Don’t just make a better product, help your customers do better.
Depending on how long we’ve known each other, you may not know about my background in construction. I started my career with a shovel in my hand, out sweating on the line. In fact, most of our team at AmeriTex Pipe & Products started out in construction. That experience means we know how to be true partners.
We remember that nagging feeling of an issue on a job site keeping us up at night. Solving those complications requires communication and a partner who’s able to collaborate. That’s why we have a dedicated support team.
As a privately-held company, we have the freedom and the know-how to put our customers first. We’re dedicated to continually improving our products because we’ve experienced how they’re used firsthand. That’s why we’re so willing to invest in our people, product and process because we know it makes a real difference in the field.
We have a saying around our facilities: “crushing it.” It means that we believe in doing our best every day. It’s the attention to detail that we put into making our products and the personal attention we give our customers. Relationships matter. So, if you run into a problem, we’ll do whatever we can to help.
Let me give you one example. When a contractor in the Houston area was having trouble with an installation, we sent our field coordinator Dario Guerra out to their site. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Dario quickly realized that the customer was not familiar with the proper installation methods for reinforced concrete pipe. So, he provided hands-on instruction and ensured the install went smoothly. Not only was our customer appreciative, but it also sped up installation time and avoided costly damage to the product.
We might not be able to save the day every time, but you better believe we’re going to try. You won’t find a partner more passionate about this industry and the people who make it work than our team at AmeriTex. We’ve learned that know-how and hard work are the secrets to success.
